There’s so much more to Yoga Teacher Training than learning to sequence a yoga class. Great yoga classes are a manifestation of the way you, as the guide, offer your understanding of your authentic mind, body, and spirited connections to the asanas.

Karen’s YTT programs aim to help you understand yoga as your unique body language. She believes you’re better able to inspire others to fearlessly join you in their own expression and discovery of YOGA on their mats, when you learn to embody and communicate your own. Challenge and discovery describe Karen’s approach to her yoga practice and teaching:

“Posing challenges to ourselves and others on the mat empower us as we learn to uplift, strengthen, and calm ourselves, for example. Yoga poses can build your character through the asana practice as well as your body. Once that connection is made, ‘yoga’ awakens within you, and your inner wellspring becomes accessible. This is the spirit from which great yoga classes are taught. I want my students to use their time on their yoga mats as ‘test pads’ for life.”

Becoming great at anything we do is largely the result of our personal practice. Karen’s YTT programs will help you develop your authentic yoga teaching style. Anyone at any level can deepen their understanding and practice of yoga. Many graduates of Karen’s YTT programs go on to teach yoga classes and establish careers with their credential yet it’s Karen’s intention that all trainees develop additional self-care management skills that enhance their everyday life off the mat as well.

Yoga Teacher Training programs at UbU Yoga & Fitness, RYS are credentialed through the internationally acclaimed Yoga Alliance and are tailored to deepen the trainee’s knowledge and history of yoga, as well as develop their vinyasa style practice and teaching skills. Karen maintains low teacher/student ratios to enable participants to achieve their own individualized goals for their RYT200 and Advanced RYT500 credential.

  • Investment - $2900 - $3400

  • Timeframe: 10 - 16 weeks / YTT meets 3 - 5 days each week depending on the program level.

  • Train online with Karen to receive your RYT200 and RYT500. UbU’s YTT programs have been approved by Yoga Alliance for credentialed remote online training hours. Train with Karen from the comfort of your own home.

*UbU’s YTT200 and Advanced 300-Hour programs can be scheduled by request and the training schedule may be modified for each trainee as deemed appropriate. If you’re interested in training for yourself, or together with one or two peers online let’s connect!
