Grateful and Blessed

I AM… The power of the word you choose to complete this statement can determine how you get through your day, face challenges, and will program your countenance, behaviors and outcomes.

Throughout my cancer journey I have appreciated being asked, “How are you feeling?” “I AM grateful and blessed” is and has been my intentional answer. While I have felt quite sick, discouraged, weak and grieved throughout the months of my intense treatment process, I AM grateful and blessed to report:

I AM healthy, encouraged, strong and overjoyed at every new day I get to live cancer free!

Feeling the deep emotions of my life’s most challenging experience has brought me to new depths of knowing the joys of my existence! The gains I’ve received through my formidable cancer diagnosis and protocol far outweigh the losses.

May you all know, whatever challenges you’re facing, that the Great I AM is yours to claim too. Gratitude and blessed thoughts can coexist with your pain and bring you comfort and peace in spite of it all. Light shines more brightly through your darkness if you choose to flip the script switch.

Life is only good because we know it can also be hard. When you’re dealing with difficulties, surround yourself with inspiring people, read the Good Book, get outside, move your body, listen to uplifting music, and embrace the love of family and friends.

This is my “THANK YOU,” to so many of you who have been my life’s support and my infusions of good medicine along the way. Every prayer, message, call, card and gift brought healing to my soul.

I get to experience my own resurrection. I AM grateful and blessed to be here now. I AM thriving - surrounded by LOVE with my children and grandchildren.
